Three steps from old file to recovered payment.

EstiMate packages missed supplements, short-paid items, emails, invoices, and payment gaps into clean follow-up files — then pursues them for you.

Find

We audit your closed files for missed supplements, short-pays, unpaid scans, calibrations, storage, sublet, and payment gaps.

Package

We organize your ROs, estimates, invoices, emails, payments, approvals, and notes into clean, ready-to-present follow-up files.

Recover

Your shop pursues payment with confidence. EstiMate earns 5% only on money that actually comes back to you.

Where the money is

Revenue you earned. Not yet collected.

Most shops have thousands of dollars sitting in closed files. EstiMate finds it — across every category insurers routinely underpay.

  • Unpaid supplements — approved work that never got fully paid
  • Short-paid labor and parts — scans, calibrations, storage, sublet, materials
  • Email approvals that vanished — adjuster-approved items that never hit the invoice
  • Payment mismatches — what arrived vs. what was billed
  • Closed but unpaid files — jobs your team finished and never got fully compensated for
What we look for

Every gap the insurer hoped you'd miss.

We know where the money hides. Our review covers every common short-pay category.

  • Unpaid or underpaid supplements
  • Short-paid labor, materials, scans, calibrations, storage, and sublet
  • Approved items in insurer emails that never made it to paid invoices
  • Payments that do not match final billed amounts
  • Closed files where the shop was never fully paid

FAQ

Questions shops always ask us first.

If yours isn't here, call or email Johanes directly — he'll give you a straight answer.

What does "no upfront fee" actually mean? +

It means exactly that — you pay nothing to get started. We review your files, build the follow-up packages, and pursue payment on your behalf without charging a cent upfront. Our 5% fee is only invoiced after money lands in your account. If we recover nothing, you owe nothing.

How far back can we go on old files? +

California Code of Civil Procedure § 337(a) gives you four years from the date of a written obligation to pursue it. That covers ROs, estimates, insurer emails, supplements, and signed invoices. We'll help you identify which files still fall inside that window.

What files and records do you need from us? +

Typically: closed ROs, estimates, supplements, insurer emails, payment records, and any approvals or invoices from your management system (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar). We'll tell you exactly what to pull after our first call — most shops can gather it within a day.

How far back can we go on old files? +

We pursue money you were already owed and approved for. We don't file lawsuits or create adversarial proceedings — we package clean, documented follow-up files and work through proper channels. Many shops find insurers respond cooperatively to well-organized supplement requests backed by solid documentation.

How long does the review and recovery process take? +

The initial file review typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on your volume. Follow-up packages are built shortly after. How fast money comes back depends on the insurer and the complexity of each claim — we stay on it until each file is closed.

Do we need to be a DRP shop to work with you? +

No. DRP and non-DRP shops both have closed files with underpaid or missed items. The types of gaps we find differ slightly between them, but the process and the fee structure are the same for every shop we work with.

What's the minimum shop size you work with? +

There's no hard minimum. What matters more is how many closed ROs you have and how complete your documentation is. Single-location shops and multi-location groups both benefit. We'll tell you on the first call whether it makes sense for your situation.

Do we need to be a DRP shop to work with you? +

The fee is 5% of the gross amount recovered — calculated per payment received, invoiced after the funds clear. Example: a $20,000 recovery means a $1,000 fee; you keep $19,000. There are no monthly retainers, no setup fees, and no charges on files that come back empty.
